I am thrilled to introduce the new wood cake stands as part of the Natural Beauty Collection. Hand-crafted and classically elegant, these wood cake stands provide a beautiful backdrop for baked delights, from wedding cakes to holiday goodies at the dinner table. They are made of sustainable wood here in the USA and the traditional style of this versatile cake stand complements all your favorite dinnerware.
The inspiration for this collection was born as a result of my longtime love affair with wood. I had worked as an apprentice to a fine arts woodworker for a year where I learned about all the different types of wood and how it is such an endurable and breath-taking medium to work with. From that experience, I knew showing the natural beauty of wood would make for an amazing wedding cake stand. I love how wood has endless variations creating a unique piece each time. And, the natural grain of the wood is so warm and inviting and compliments any decor.
To really show off the potential of these cake stands, we teamed up with the legendary cake designers at Charm City Cakes. They provided us with two of their amazing wedding cakes, each with its own style, to show the versatility of the cake stands. The Round Natural Beauty Cake Stand has a hand-painted flower cake that is charming and romantic, perfect for an outdoor affair. And, the Square Natural Beauty Cake Stand takes a more modern approach with a clean, all-white cake and textured flowers that feels both fresh and classic. With such beautiful cakes, it is hard to decide which one I like better!
While I know the Natural Beauty Cake Stands will add a special touch to any wedding cake, these are an heirloom piece that can be used after the big day, too. I can see it being used to display Mom’s apple pie at Thanksgiving, my niece’s upcoming birthday cake and for that house-warming party I plan to throw soon. Well, at least that is how I plan to use mine. And, don’t just think cake, either. Try an assortment of cheeses or a gorgeous flower arrangement. There are so many uses, what would you use the cake stand for?
